Here's a simple card that I made using

the set Secret Garden #129372

You can find this set in Stampin Up's Spring Catalog on page 17

 Below is the bottle cap I embellished using the Collage Curios Stamp Set #129102 

set on page 24 in the Spring Catalog also.

Love these bottle caps.  I bought several because I'm not sure they will be in the new catalog.

And that is coming out soon very soon! 

The bottle caps look like normal bottle caps till you smash them in the Big Shot.

I can hear you saying "Where did Andrea get her inspiration for this card?"

Hmm I wonder...

The baby whip container

Goes to show you there is inspiration everywhere

even in the bathroom...

The colors in person match perfectly with the container.

Just couldn't get the colors right for in the photo this time.

I am still playing around with the Swallowtail Background stamp

from Stampin Up's! the Spring Catalog.

This time I used Versamark ink and stamped the Swallowtail on water color paper 

and then used Black embossing powder and heat embossed.

I also did the same with Ex Libris #126600 background stamp.

I water colored them both using Stampin Up's! Aqua Painters.

This time I cut him in half so he looks as though he 

is fluttering by the flowers. 

A little artsy I know

But I think I like it.

I cut the inside panel out of the Ex Libris stamp 

and just used the frame for the front of the card. 

I also matted the inside panel with Elegant Eggplant and angled 

it inside.  Sometimes I just like things angled.

Swallowtail-Bleached

 This is a beautiful stamp set. It is in the wonderful Spring Catalog on pg 18

This catalog will expire May 31st.

The gals liked making this card at our Thursday evening workshop.

It was such a fun card to make. I'm going to make some in different color combos next. 

 First we heat embossed the Swallowtail in black embossing powder.

Then bleach the whole image using just the brush of the aqua painter. 

That gave it a real pail yellow tint to the areas where we colored.

If you are careful with not using a lot of bleach you will get really nice results.

Then I rinsed the aqua painter brush real well and filled it water.

And then painted in the image. 

The Side panel is from the stamp set Summer Silhouettes. 

After the whole card was assembled I used the aqua painter to apply 

the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to the whole image.

I Love it!

At our last Saturday workshop the ladies got to play with 

the Shaving Cream Technique.

We embossed the shells from the stamp set By the Seashore 

on Crumb Cake CS.

I tried using Whisper White but it just wasn't the natural look I was after.  

In our shaving cream we added several drops of Pool Party 

and Baja Breeze  and Marina Mist reinkers

And just a few and I mean a few like 2 drops of Indigo Island reinker.

My new favorite ribbon is the Natural trim.  Love love it!

I just tied a simple loose knot and added 3 Basic Pearls.
